VelociRaptor 6x6

The VelociRaptor 6x6 by tuning powerhouse Hennessey is based on the 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor. The company unveiled the vehicle at the 2017 SEMA Show, after presenting computer renderings of the truck in 2016.

This conversion does include an upgraded suspension (incl. upgraded Fox shocks), 20-inch wheels, custom front and rear bumpers, a rollbar and LED lights. And last but not least a 600 HP engine.

Conversion

The 600 HP engine was initially (in 2016) announced as an upgrade option called the VelociRaptor 600 6x6. It turns out all vehicles will have this engine. The engine tuning includes modified twin turbochargers, stainless steel exhaust, upgraded intercooler and a re-tuned factory computer.

Hennessey cuts the original chassis behind the original shock mounts for the rear axle. A 30-inch extension is welded in between the two parts of the frame.

The original rear axle sits in the rearmost position. The second axle has a pass-through to drive the third one.

This vehicle does have upgraded suspension. This upgrade includes a 3-inch lift and upgraded fox shocks. The announcement does not contain any information regarding the rear suspension. The vehicle has one leaf spring on each side. These leaves provide a weight compensation on the rear axles.

Custom front and rear bumpers, rollbar, custom 20-inch wheels and LED light bars are added to give the vehicle its unique look.

The base price for the VelociRaptor 6x6 is $349000, including the price for the Raptor donor vehicle.

For the demanding customers, Hennessey does offer some optional upgrades. These include upgraded Brembo brakes, larger wheels and tires, LED lighting upgrades, bespoke interiors and even armouring systems.

Hennessey will only build 50 VelociRaptor 6x6 vehicles for customers in the USA and 50 for customers overseas.
